Your phone needs eSIM support and must be carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06# to look for an EID, which identifies your phone's eSIM hardware.
Yes, your own SIM stays in your phone for calls and SMS. The eSIM supplies data, and WhatsApp can keep using your existing number.
Codes sent by SMS still go to your existing SIM, not this eSIM. Receiving them abroad relies on your home carrier's roaming service.
Sharing data through a hotspot uses the same allowance as your phone. If you share your Cayman Islands connection, include that extra use when choosing data.
Your fixed bundle has no data left once you use its allowance. You can buy another Cayman Islands plan using your prepaid account balance.
You can buy another plan if your stay outlasts your current bundle. Cayman Islands fixed bundles last up to 30 days from first connection.
